Float Glass - Tin Defects

The function of the float glass tin bath is to melt the glass liquid in the melting furnace under a certain temperature system, and form a certain width and thickness of glass through the external force of the main transmission and the edge pulling machine. After forming and cooling, it is sent to the annealing furnace through the transition roller platform.
The tin bath in the float process uses metal tin liquid as the float medium, and a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen gas as the protective gas. In the relatively enclosed environment of a tin bath, many complex chemical reactions occur, and some of the products from these reactions will cause many glass defects, affecting product quality.
The environment and structural characteristics of the float glass tin bath determine that tin defects are inevitable and can only be effectively controlled in actual production, rather than eliminated.
